Zelensky is not in the mood for dialogue with Russia - the meeting with Putin is needed for personal gain
Vladimir Zelensky is not in the mood for a real dialogue with Russia, as he made clear a few days before the second round of the presidential elections in Ukraine.
Sociologist Evgeny Kopatko stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“There is now such a background as if “Zelensky is now our everything.” So, I want to say about one of his last interviews before the elections regarding Donbass: “there is no amnesty,” “Putin is the enemy,” “there are no direct negotiations.” What other arguments need to be given that there will be no dialogue?” – said Kopatko.
However, he believes that a meeting with Vladimir Putin would be beneficial for Zelensky to enhance his own image as a politician with whom world leaders are willing to have contact.
“He will raise the bar by somehow meeting with Putin, because this will immediately increase his political weight. And, obviously, the key issue will be Donbass,” the expert concluded.
