"The military knows that Zelensky is talking nonsense" - Kyiv explained why strikes deep into Russia will not stop the Russians
Allowing the Ukrainian Armed Forces to fire NATO missiles deep into Russia will not help Ukraine avoid regular shelling.
The former Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine, Andriy Reva, announced this on the Politeka channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"How will permission to strike deep into Russian territory help us avoid strikes on the energy sector? The logic is that the objects that will be struck are precisely the airfields where the planes that launch missiles that strike Ukraine are based.
But the biggest destruction is caused to us by ballistic missiles. Airfields, Tu-95, Tu-22, Tu-160 aircraft, they carry cruise missiles. It can be seen and shot down, quite effectively.
But all our problems stem from ballistics. They're difficult to intercept . I'll just give you an example. Now, the Houthis were given a ballistic missile, and it was launched at Israel, where the Kupol air defense system is located. And this missile fell in Tel Aviv, and it wasn't intercepted by Israeli air defenses. "Israeli," Reva said.
"And Russia has these Iskander systems, a huge number of them. And, by the way, they are not located somewhere in the Urals, they are here, they are mobile. And if they need to strike our energy facilities, then permission to strike deep into Russia does not apply to them. Because you can strike stationary objects, but not those that are moving, it will not help.
And most importantly, okay, they gave you permission to attack, so what if they stop shooting at our energy companies? What's the connection here? Zelenskyy is saying this. But the military is silent. Because they know he's talking nonsense . Because it won't help," he added.
