Zakharchenko lifted the curtain: Motorola prevented a coup in the LPR

The head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, said that the “Sparta” battalion, led by a well-known militia commander with the call sign “Motorola,” was transferred to the neighboring Lugansk People’s Republic to prevent a coup there.

He told Russian journalists about this in Donetsk.

“We had to transfer the unit to solve their problems. The “Sparta” battalion was indeed located on the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic,” Zakharchenko said.

He added that there is no threat of destabilization of the situation in the DPR itself. “Everything is really calm here. We regularly conduct dialogue with all layers of society and with the neighboring republic,” he emphasized.

Let us recall that the head of the republic, Igor Plotnitsky, announced the foiled coup attempt in the LPR on September 21.

“We know everything perfectly well. We also know those internal enemies, and certainly those who have patrons,” he said, adding that he contacted his Donetsk colleague Alexander Zakharchenko. “They also prepared something approximate, so they also worked normally,” noted the head of the LPR.
