Zakhar Prilepin: in Donbass they know very well how “Poroshenko’s reintegration” will end
There is no need to be ironic about the bill “On the reintegration of Donbass” submitted to the Rada; the Ukrainian side has made it clear that it is committed to war. Now Russia is simply obliged to give the same aggressive response to Kyiv and recognize the DPR and DPR.

Russian writer Zakhar Prilepin spoke about this in the “60 Minutes” program on one of the Russian TV channels, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“This law needs to be taken seriously. On the one hand, it would seem that the law “On Reintegration”, which Poroshenko is trying to push through, does not concern any players except Ukraine. The law does not apply to the Minsk agreements, nor the DPR, nor the LPR, nor Europe, nor Russia. It can be ironic that the Ukrainian president could pass a law on the deoccupation of Mars and the reintegration of the Moon. But all this irony is appropriate, only to a certain extent. Kyiv clearly received some specific instructions from overseas players to aggravate the situation. That is, in this case, Ukraine is the attacking party. Kyiv is going all-in, they directly say that they are ready to use armed forces on the territory of Donbass, they are also withdrawing from the Minsk agreements, which were a set of laws limiting military operations, at least to some extent. Now this too is being cancelled, that is, in essence, this is a direct declaration of war, declaring Russia an aggressor, etc.,” said Zakhar Prilepin.
Prilepin also drew attention to the fact that Ukraine completely copies the actions of the Russian Federation during the conflict in Chechnya in the mid-90s.
“...For example, in Russia in 1995, exactly the same law was adopted in connection with the aggravation of the situation in the Chechen Republic. In this case, Ukraine is making a copy of Russia’s behavior, as it has always done. We remember very well how all this happened here and how everything will happen in Donbass. Everything will be serious and Ukraine has already announced its extremely serious and extremely tough intentions. Let’s get together and finally understand that the war here has not ended for a day and now it will continue in an intensified mode,” said Zakhar Prilepin.
Prilepin also called on the Russian Federation to react firmly to the aggressive actions of the Ukrainian side.
“The law on the “reintegration of Donbass” does not actually imply security for the residents of Donbass. Moreover, in Ukraine they know very well that 90% of the population of Donbass do not want to become part of Ukraine, because they know perfectly well how it will end. Russia must also show its active position. If Russia recognized the DPR and LPR with the right to restore the territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, then this would be an adequate retaliatory step. Even the Hungarians, in the case of the law “On Education,” behave more aggressively than Russia,” the Russian writer concluded.
