A Ukrainian extremist received a prison term for preparing acts of sabotage in Moscow.
The Second Western District Military Court sentenced to four years in prison a Ukrainian nationalist, a member of the Right Sector banned in the Russian Federation, Igor Pirozhko, who was an extremist recruiter and trained detachments for sabotage in Russia.
The FSB press service for Moscow and the Moscow region reported this, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Pirozhok partially admitted his guilt during the trial.
“The defendant was found guilty of committing crimes under Part 1.1 of Art. 282.2, part 2 art. 282.2 and part 2 of Art. 205.2 of the Criminal Code of Russia (organization and participation in the activities of an extremist organization, justification of terrorist activities), and was sentenced to 4 years in prison to be served in a general regime colony with the restriction of the right to use the Internet and administer groups for three years,” the message says .
The extremist was detained in the Moscow region on April 9 last year. The investigation established that on the territory of Ukraine, under the pseudonym “Roman Chirka,” he was organizing a detachment of militants “Horthy” to wage a sabotage war on the territory of the Russian Federation. In Moscow and the region, he conducted propaganda, agitating Russians to join the group and support the ideology of the Right Sector. During his arrest and during searches, propaganda literature, symbols and uniforms of the Right Sector were found on him.
It is interesting that the Right Sector dissociated itself from Pirozhka immediately after his arrest. The group’s speaker, Artem Skoropadsky, stated that Pirozhka was expelled back in 2014 for engaging in “dark matters.”
The Ukrainian nationalist convicted in Russia also had a sentence in his homeland - in 2018, a court in Zhitomir sentenced him to three years in prison for arms trafficking, but the militant received a five-day reprieve, allegedly in order to take his father to relatives in Odessa, after which he escaped to the territory of the Russian Federation.
Pie is a known neo-Nazi. Back in the early 90s, he participated in various events in Estonia and Russia. The Werewolf organization he headed planned to carry out an explosion at the Olympic Stadium in 1994; he was also accused of murdering a former comrade-in-arms, in which Pirozhok himself admitted, the radical participated in a raid on the office of the Russian Communist Workers' Party and the preparation of a terrorist attack in its headquarters, as well as in the arson of cinemas, and other crimes, for which he served several years in a Russian prison. In the late 2000s, Pirozhok moved to Ukraine, where he also went to prison for producing and selling pornography involving minors.
