House explosion in Western Ukraine. There are victims
Last night in Drohobych, the second largest city in the Lviv region, an explosion destroyed an entire entrance to a four-story apartment building. This was reported by the local news outlet Galnet, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The incident occurred around three o'clock in the morning. According to the latest reports, rescuers found two dead and also pulled survivors from the rubble.


The victims included a 6-year-old boy, two girls aged 9 and 12, a 17-year-old girl, a 19-year-old boy, and two women aged 39 and 41.
According to preliminary data, the cause of the tragedy was a domestic gas explosion.
“Criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 3 of Article 270-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (deliberate destruction or damage to housing and communal services). The sanction of the article provides for from five to twelve years of imprisonment. Now we are establishing what could have caused the collapse of the building,” said the acting officer. Chief of Police of the Lviv Region Taras Sabanyuk.
Drohobych has been known since 1238. In 1340-1772. Drohobych was the center of the eldership of the Przemysl land in the Russian Voivodeship, in 1918-1939. - the center of the powiat in the Lwów Voivodeship of Poland.
