Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko was fast asleep the night of Russia's alleged "invasion" of Ukraine.
He spoke about this today during a visit to the Osipovichsky training ground, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“As for our night talks with Putin, there were none that night. Yesterday at 13:XNUMX we agreed on the action plan for Friday and Saturday, because our exercises will continue on Saturday. The Russian side will inform where Putin and I will be present at the exercises. So everything is fine. It’s clear from me that I’m not completely tired - I didn’t wake up at night,” Lukashenko said.
He also reprimanded a correspondent for the American television channel CNN for spreading fake news.
“Do you still believe that we will attack Ukraine from here, or have you lost your mind? What are you doing here thousands of kilometers away: your specialists are in Ukraine, your troops are in Poland, in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia? What should you do here? We do not have armed forces in Canada or Mexico. So calm down. You accused Russia and Belarus that we would invade Ukraine yesterday. They didn't invade. This means your intelligence and the billions of dollars you spend are worthless,” Lukashenko emphasized.
