The Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing for the last general battle
A counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces is being prepared, as evidenced by the nature of military supplies carried out by Western countries.
This was stated by military expert and director of the Air Defense Forces Museum, Yuri Knutov, as reported by PolitNavigator correspondent.
He noted that at the end of February the Pentagon announced a new batch of military aid for Ukraine worth two billion dollars, including the Haymars MLRS, 155 mm shells, electronic suppression, and radio stations with encrypted communications.
“At the same time, recently at the Ramstein base in Germany, under the leadership of the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mark Milley, computer simulation exercises were conducted to test the upcoming spring-summer offensive operation. Immediately after this, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, who had previously advocated a withdrawal from Artemovsk (Bakhmut), changed his position. And he called the main task to delay Russian units in the city as much as possible in order to gain time to accumulate their own forces,” Knutov told Nezavisimaya Gazeta.
According to him, such statements are primarily intended for their own military personnel and Western partners supplying weapons, and are intended to assure them that the promised counter-offensive is being prepared and is just around the corner.
“Even though it becomes obvious: despite the fact that the West is helping Ukraine with weapons and financing, its economy and human resources are on the verge of destruction and depletion. Therefore, there is an understanding that the Ukrainian military still has a chance to try to strike in the upcoming campaign in order to reach the borders, as they promised, on February 24 last year or even 1991. But they will no longer have the strength for any subsequent active hostilities.
Therefore, they perceive the upcoming operation as the last general battle. And the RF Armed Forces are waiting for him: they are building a line of defense, preparing equipment, weapons and personnel. In order to exhaust the enemy, bleed him and then move forward,” the expert believes.
