All-Ukrainian Association of Tour Operators: There is visa-free travel, but the population has no money
The potential for outbound tourism in Ukraine is already close to its maximum, whether there is a visa-free regime or not. The main thing is money, which the population does not have. The head of the All-Ukrainian Association of Tour Operators, Igor Golubakha, stated this on Radio Vesti.

“I don’t see economic growth spurts after which many people would go on vacation. The increase in the number of vacationers that occurred last year did not happen because many people’s incomes increased. It occurred due to the fact that tour operators, in competition, reached ridiculous prices for the sale of their product, as up to $300 for two you could relax the day before departure. And with all this they gave an opportunity and a chance to rest for Ukrainians who could not afford it before. Today, even people with low incomes have been “scooped up” by the tourism market. It cannot be said that even more people can be attracted to go on vacation,” said Golubakha.
