The leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov believes that the problems of modern Russia are caused, in part, by the fact that the Lenin Mausoleum is draped during parades and other special events.

“I insist once again: stop covering the Mausoleum. Stop it! This is a treasury, this is a sanctuary, this is the center of Red Square. Stop this disgrace if you don’t want to mobilize the country for a decisive protest against what is happening,” Zyuganov threatened.
He believes that the role of communist leaders in the history of the country is deliberately and cynically hushed up.
“I haven’t heard on any channel that today is the birthday of the founder of our Russian state. The existence of the Russian Federation in its current form bears only Lenin's signature. Just like the UN Security Council has Stalin’s signature. Like it, don’t like it, this is our story!
