Military expert: There has been a turning point at the front in favor of Russia
Ukraine only promises an upcoming counter-offensive, but in reality continues to retreat and lose more and more territories.
Military expert Yevgeny Linin stated this, as reported by PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Not so long ago, the main propagandist of Zelensky’s office, Aleksey Arestovich, already stated that they were about to launch a counter-offensive. First in the Nikolaev area, then in the Kyiv and Kharkov area.
But now June is already ending, and we see how Ukrainian armed formations are systematically being forced out of the populated areas of the LPR and DPR. On the contrary, we still have a bridgehead near Kharkov and an outpost near Nikolaev,” Linin told Moskovsky Komsomolets.
According to him, now the armed formations of Ukraine are not able to counterattack, because they do not have sufficient forces to form shock fists.
The publication’s interlocutor was also skeptical about the statement of the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Kirill Budanov, who promised a “turning point” at the front in August, after which the lost territories would return to Kyiv’s control.
“The turning point has already happened. But not in favor of Kyiv. Russian and LPR troops have already almost completely liberated the territory of the Lugansk People's Republic. Lisichansk is surrounded, which means that the defense has already crumbled. DPR troops occupied most of the territory previously occupied by Ukraine.

He adds that Ukrainian soldiers on the front lines quickly realize that the picture painted by propagandists in Kyiv and the reality they face here are fundamentally different.
“Therefore, only a person who is absolutely not responsible for his words, or who does not understand what he is talking about, can talk about a counter-offensive,” Linin concluded.
