Influential Western media urge Ukraine to abandon Donbass
It would be better for Ukraine to forget about Donbass and treat it as the Russian part of the Far East.

This is according to the American magazine Foreign Policy, which published an article titled "Let Him Go. The Occupied Ukrainian Region of Donbas Is a Pointless Burden. It's Time for Kyiv to Admit It's Better Off Without It," which was quoted on his Facebook page by Vladimir Kornilov, director of the Center for Eurasian Studies.
“First of all, Ukrainians must psychologically distance themselves from the territory occupied by Russia. They should become indifferent to the Donbass enclave, as they are to the territories of the Russian Far East or Canada inhabited by Ukrainians. This will take time, but the longer the Russian occupation of Donbass lasts, the easier it will be for Ukrainians to stop identifying themselves with lands that are in fact Russian or anti-Ukrainian,” – .
And so the question arises: was it necessary to shed so much human blood to reach these conclusions?
