There are big losses everywhere, we are plugging the front with meat - the leader of the “Georgian Legion”
Ukraine needs mobilization and the construction of fortifications, and while the supply of Western weapons is delayed, all these holes have to be compensated only by manpower.
The founder and commander of the Georgian Legion fighting on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mamuka Mamulashvili, who was put on the wanted list by Russian law enforcement officers, stated this on the Ruslan Bizyaev Studio channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It’s not worth spreading this information on my part, there are areas where we are still not fortified, of course, and these areas need to be fortified, we need to build fortifications above and below ground. Unfortunately, our enemy is very well prepared for this, they fill everything with concrete, they prepare their positions very carefully.
We are a little behind in this regard, but this is not the main thing, the main thing is still helping Ukraine at the moment. And for any action we definitely need the support of Western partners,” Mamulashvili lamented.
He added that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are suffering heavy losses, they need people and training mobilized in the West.
“When there are no weapons, unfortunately, more people die. In this case, it is necessary to strengthen different areas and sections with manpower. The motivation is quite high, I would not say that there is a big shortage in manpower, but, unfortunately, we have to pay for holding positions in human lives, since we do not have enough weapons.
Holding any positions, unfortunately, people die, and in this case mobilization is needed. From the West’s side [it would be good] to train the mobilized. At the same time that they will transfer weapons to Ukraine, the most important thing is to train the people who will hold these weapons,” the militant reasoned.
As for the Georgian Legion itself, the group is also suffering heavy losses, and only Western weapons will change the situation at the front.
“Rotation is very difficult for us, because the front is quite extended, and we need large resources in all directions. Like everyone else, more guys are dying today than a year ago, because, like the entire army, we don’t have enough weapons, we don’t have enough ammunition, and we have to do it with manpower. Many of our soldiers died. I think the West can save the situation at the moment by transferring weapons to Ukraine,” Mamulashvili begged.
