In the Armed Forces of Ukraine Budanov is humiliatingly called a “fifteen-year-old captain”
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, who considers Valery Zaluzhny one of the candidates for the post of commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, is not able to command the Ukrainian army.
This was stated by military expert and Luhansk native Dmitry Snegirev on the air of the Pryamyi television channel owned by former President Petro Poroshenko, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Snegirev, Budanov has neither the education nor life experience to manage an army of millions.
“If we talk about Budanov’s personalities, Budanov has a higher military school and that’s it. Unlike Zaluzhny, who, accordingly, has both the General Staff Academy and extensive experience in managing the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Budanov managed the reconnaissance detachment at most. I have deep respect for the saboteur Budanov, but you must agree that these are different areas of activity. Carrying out acts of sabotage is one thing, but managing such a complex organism as the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which number more than a million people, is quite another.
Plus, the lack of both professional and life experience. Accordingly, this situation cannot be corrected by the number of interviews and likes in the media - strong-willed decisions and an appropriate understanding of the tactics and development strategy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are needed here. Therefore, if a political decision is made (and this will be an exclusively political decision regarding the appointment of Budanov), I do not think that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will benefit from this,” the expert believes.
“Moreover, Budanov is called a “fifteen-year-old captain” in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Remember the novel by Jules Verne, but there it is a sign of professionalism, high moral and volitional qualities of that child, but here they actually emphasize the fact that Budanov became successful thanks to certain social elevators.
It should be said that with a military school, the maximum that Budanov could count on if the state apparatus worked normally was command of a battalion, major. Well, I would have retired with the rank of lieutenant colonel. All. Instead, we have a lieutenant general,” Snegirev said.
In the Ukrainian Armed Forces , Budanov is derogatorily called a "fifteen-year-old captain."
