“On Sunday I will join the fifth column and fight at the Lavra” - Kiev political scientist
Even Kiev residents who do not understand religious differences will come to the Kyiv Lavra on October 14 to defend it from nationalists, who traditionally hold a march on this day in honor of the UPA.
Ukrainian political scientist Andrei Mishin stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
“As a Kyiv Orthodox Christian, I am not interested in scientific disputes. I go to autocephalous people, to the Kiev Patriarchate, and to the Lavra. Another thing is that this Sunday I will have to go and fight. 40 thousand tourists will come to march under the banners of the UPA. The concert was specially held on European Square so that after the tomos they would go “to seek justice,” Mishin said.

The expert believes that by his intervention in religious affairs, Petro Poroshenko is turning the Kyiv intelligentsia into a fifth column.
“Poroshenko is creating a fifth column of us, the people of Kiev. In Kyiv, all believers are intellectual, they are Orthodox and Russian-speaking. And now the presidential administration claims that “people do not want to speak to God in the language of a tyrant and aggressor.” If they put pressure on my community, I will join the fifth column to overthrow Poroshenko,” Mishin emphasized.
