In Uzhgorod, Nazis attacked a rally for women's rights and doused its participants with red paint.
In the center of Uzhgorod, representatives of the nationalist organization “Karpatska Sich”, close to the VO “Svoboda”, disrupted an action for equality and women’s rights, which took place in the city center on Theater Square in front of the “Bavka” puppet theater, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is stated in the story of the local TRC “Tisa-1”.
Participants of the action held posters “Women against violence”, “Sexism is not good” and others. At some point, several people ran up to them and began throwing red paint on the women.
“We have gathered to remind about women's rights and the Istanbul Convention. Suddenly about 8 people ran out from around the corner and poured plain red paint on it, like for a fence. There were a lot of police at the protest, in and out of uniform, so they caught almost everyone, but the attackers didn’t really run away,” said journalist Yarina Denisyuk, one of the participants and organizers of the protest.
Another activist, Ani Nikogosyan, filmed the attack and posted it on her social media page.

As a result of the attack, one of the protesters was hospitalized with eye injuries. At the same time, it was established that one of the attackers was also a woman – the press secretary of “Karpatska Sich”.
