To please the IMF: A new round of price growth awaits Ukraine
With the introduction of the gas market for the population from July 1, the price will increase by 40%.
Energy market expert Valentin Zemlyansky stated this on the Newsone TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“People spend less on utilities than on food while it’s summer. The heating season is over, there is no need to pay. When will the heating start? And if with the gas market, which we are promised from July 1, then how will it go?
Kobolev says that Ukraine is not ready, but don’t blush in front of the IMF - let’s launch it. We will see the result - the price of gas will increase by 40% to 4 thousand UAH per thousand cubic meters. That's the whole market for you.
There are no restrictions here either for NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine or for regional companies that sell gas. The state withdrew.
And, since the main owner of the resource is NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, it is he who will dictate the so-called “market” gas prices for the population,” said Valentin Zemlyansky.
Let us remember that among the IMF’s key requirements for Ukraine to receive a new loan (most of which will be used to pay off old debts) was “bringing gas prices for the population to market levels.”
To please the IMF: Ukraine faces a new round of price increases.
