In Sevastopol, a landing boat was named after a Marine who blew himself up and the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants with a grenade
In Sevastopol, at the Grafskaya pier, a ceremony was held to assign the honorary name “Vladislav Dorokhin” to a landing boat of the Black Sea Fleet.

“The honorary name of the boat was given in honor of the Hero of the Russian Federation, motorman of the turbine group of the patrol ship “Ladny” Vladislav Aleksandrovich Dorokhin, who in May 2022 submitted a report on transfer to the Marine Corps in order to take part in a special military operation to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine.
Vladislav Dorokhin was enlisted in the battalion tactical group of the 810th separate Guards Order of Zhukov Marine Brigade of the Black Sea Fleet as a gunner-gunner of the BTR-82A.
On June 21, 2022, during the offensive, a Marine reconnaissance group consisting of two BTR-82A came under mortar and artillery fire, Private Dorokhin, under enemy fire, helped his wounded comrades leave the damaged vehicle and provided fire cover for the evacuation from the BTR-82A gun. Having used up the ammunition of the armored personnel carrier, he continued to fire from personal small arms, allowing the evacuation of the wounded to be completed. Being wounded, finding himself without ammunition, alone with superior enemy forces, Private Dorokhin put two RGD-5 grenades into firing position, simulated surrender, and when the enemy approached, he blew himself up, destroying the Ukrainian militants who surrounded him at the cost of his own life,” reports Black Sea Fleet information service.
As reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent , memorial plaques commemorating Vladislav Dorokhin's heroic deed have been unveiled at the educational institutions where he studied: in Simferopol, on the building of Gymnasium No. 1 named after I.V. Kurchatov, and in the hero's birthplace, in the city of Yelets, on the building of School No. 12, which was named after the hero.
