In the Rivne region, unknown vandals staged a pogrom at the grave of a medieval rabbi revered by modern Jews, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The director of the Ukrainian Jewish Committee, Eduard Dolinsky, announced this on his social network page.

“A brutal pogrom at the grave of the great Rabbi Magarsho (1555-1631) in Ostrog, Rivne region. All the windows in the chapel were broken, the holy books were scattered,” he writes.

Dolinsky also published photographic evidence of the pogrom.
