After Ukrainian Internet providers introduced blocking of Russian Internet services, the share of visitors to the Vkontakte social network from Ukraine fell three times: from 13.5% to 4.2%.

Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation German Klimenko published such data in his blog.
According to him, out of 16 million Ukrainian users of the social network, only 2,5 million use different options to bypass the ban.
“Approximately 16 million visitors from Ukraine are blocked from accessing Russian sites.
Of these, 2.5 million used various bypass methods. PS: It should be noted that we are talking about the web. Smartphones and applications on them have a different life,” Klimenko said.
