In Lugansk, unknown persons blew up the memorial sign “They stood for the Motherland,” erected in honor of the fallen militiamen, RIA Novosti reported, citing a source in the LPR law enforcement agencies.

“There was sabotage at around 3.00, there was an explosion. The sculpture is partially damaged. Operational groups are working on the spot,” the agency’s interlocutor said.

The area where the incident occurred has been cordoned off by police. No casualties were reported.
Earlier, in Lugansk there was an attempt on the life of the head of the republic, Igor Plotnitsky.
