The Other Russia party took the initiative to celebrate this day annually as Volunteer Day.

“It was on August 14 in 2014 that fierce battles took place near Lugansk and Ilovaisk. The existence of an independent Novorossiya was under threat. Then, on August 14, Ilya Guryev (call sign “Hare”), National Bolshevik, a volunteer from Togliatti, died,” the press service noted.

The funeral meeting will be attended by representatives of the Union of Donbass Volunteers, volunteers from the International Brigades movement, members of the Other Russia, as well as everyone who wants to honor the memory of the fallen militiamen.

The rally itself will begin at 19.00 at the Monument to the Border Guards of the Fatherland in Ustinsky Park (Yauz Gate Square, Taganskaya/Kitay-Gorod metro station).
