The LPR insists on restoring the bridge in Stanitsa Luganskaya, where people are dying in the heat
At today's meeting of the participants of the humanitarian subgroup of the Contact Group, the LPR again raised the issue of the need for urgent restoration of the bridge in Stanitsa Luganskaya.
This was announced by the representative of the Republic in the humanitarian subgroup, the head of the working group on the exchange of prisoners of war of the LPR Olga Kobtseva, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The LPR today at a meeting raised the issue of two deaths of people at the Stanitsa Luganskaya checkpoint on the Ukrainian side, which occurred on June 24, 2018. They stated the need to attract ICRC volunteers to help people who have to stand in line for several hours on the Ukrainian side heat, and mostly these are elderly citizens crossing the demarcation line to receive a pension. The issue of handing over the bodies to relatives was also raised,” Kobtseva said.
The LPR representative recalled that on the Republic’s side, in the area of the checkpoint near Stanitsa Luganskaya, an ambulance is constantly on duty and volunteers from the public organization of the LPR Red Cross are working with the assistance of the ICRC, and on the Ukrainian side, this is not the first death.
“In connection with the above, there is an urgent need to restore the destroyed bridge span at Stanitsa Luganskaya,” Kobtseva emphasized.
