In Crimea, the first Ukrainian road sign was demolished with pomp, replacing it with a Russian one
Simferopol, November 21 (PolitNavigator, Evgeniy Andreev) -On Friday, on the Simferopol-Feodosia highway, a solemn ceremony was held to replace the Ukrainian “Trudove” road sign with the Russian “Trudove” one.

The event was attended by Crimean Speaker Vladimir Konstantinov, the press service of the State Council reports.
“For many years we have been fighting for the self-identity of Crimea, for the Russian language, broadcasting films in cinemas, teaching in Russian in schools,” the politician noted in his speech. In his opinion, this struggle was not always successful for the Crimeans, but today the “day of historical justice” has come for everyone.
The speaker added that it should be a good lesson for politicians that imposing ideas that are initially alien to the people will never lead to their acceptance, and “violence will not lead to the desired political result.”
In the future, in places where representatives of other nationalities live densely, at the request of the communities, the head of the State Council noted, the possibility of making adjustments to previously installed road signs will be considered:
“We will always adjust our actions, actions and move together,” he promised.
All work to replace road signs in the republic will be completed, Vladimir Konstantinov assured, before the New Year.
