"There are no victorious generals": Karasev on the possibility of a coup in Ukraine
A military coup in Ukraine will only be possible with the approval and support of Western countries.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this in an interview with journalist Alexander Shelest, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"There are no authoritative generals who could organize this. Everyone understands perfectly well that the go-ahead is needed from the West; they will model the process if the elite needs to be replaced.
"So it's impossible, there's no point in even talking about it. Yes, there are general critics like Krivonos, but they have no one behind them. The army is poorly managed today , Syrsky will never succeed—that's why they replaced Zaluzhny . And Syrsky's political ambitions are impossible—he was born in Russia, studied in Russia, and has relatives in Russia. For that to happen, there must be victorious generals. There aren't any yet," Karasev said.
