The first calls to abandon the course towards the EU were heard in Kyiv
Ukraine should forget about politicians’ promises about soon joining the European Union and start developing its own, truly independent project.
This initiative was made during a press conference in Kyiv by the director of the Ukrainian Policy Foundation, Kost Bondarenko, who presented the analytical report “Eurorealism: a new paradigm of Ukrainian foreign policy?”

He noted that the deplorable state of the Ukrainian economy does not allow us to talk about the European prospects of Ukraine and proposed to realistically assess the situation and stop deceiving citizens that the country is expected in Europe.
“It is necessary, starting from the realities of Ukrainian life, realistically assessing the possibilities, to develop our own subjectivity and our state project, in order to then consider on equal terms the possibility of creating alliances with certain states,” the expert believes. “Perhaps these will be narrower regional associations.”
