Ukrainian political scientist Dmitry Korneichuk stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent , noting that Kyiv is attempting to provoke Russia into harsh retaliatory measures in order to justify Ukraine's failure to comply with the Minsk agreements.
“There are no tough answers from Moscow. That is, Moscow is not going to disrupt the agreements between Putin and Trump on the Big Deal. concerning Ukraine and Syria. Both Russian and American diplomacy, and the same Merkel are now, let’s say, trying as much as possible to narrow the circle or friendly reach around Pyotr Alekseevich’s throat, forcing him, firstly, to meet in the “Normandy format”, and, secondly, to take made public commitments to restart Minsk,” the expert noted.
