In 2022, during the Mariupol war, many local residents understood that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were to blame for the war and destruction, hiding behind civilians during the battle.
Ukrainian photographer Evgeniy Maloletka stated this on NV radio, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He told how in 2022 he worked in front-line Mariupol and regularly encountered negative reactions from local residents.
“A lot of people didn’t understand what exactly we were doing there. People had a lot of questions. And when you come to the bomb shelter, there are a lot of people there, and they attack you as if you were the last one. And you are to blame for all the sins that the Russians are shelling Mariupol, and that people are forced to hide in basements.
But it’s not our fault, it’s not us who are firing. We’re just here next to them, we live the same way, we get water, we look for electricity,” Maloletka cried.
Let us remember that during the entire war against Russia, the Ukronazis regularly hid behind the backs of the local population, firing from residential buildings, shelters, hospitals, etc.
