In Kyiv, travel in “broken-down” minibuses will rise to 6 hryvnia
Kyiv, January 30 (PolitNavigator, Alexander Semenyuta) – Kiev residents will no longer be able to get to work and to the Maidan cheaply. In February-March, the cost of travel on Kyiv minibuses will increase from the current 3,5-4,5 UAH. up to 5-6 UAH.

Yuriy Artemenko, co-chair of the Kyiv Business Rescue Committee, told Obozrevatel this . Kyiv's carriers are preparing to massively increase fares. On some routes, fares were raised back in late December, but the full hike is planned for February-March. Most carriers have already determined their maximum fares and submitted their calculations to the city administration.
“The fare will increase from 50 kopecks to 1,5 hryvnia. On average, travel around Kyiv will be 5 hryvnia, but if the route distance is 25 km, then the price can be 6 hryvnia for one trip. But this is the maximum price,” says Artemenko. He also added that the economically justified price on some routes should be no less than 7-8 hryvnia, but carriers will not set such a price.
The capital's administration has prepared another “gift” for the people of Kiev. In February, the price of travel in the capital's public transport will double.
