The scandal with the capture of a Russian spy in the SBU continues in Kyiv
In Kyiv, a scandal continues around the arrest of an SBU officer who is accused of secretly working for Russia. Captain Andrei Vaskovsky was detained several days ago - he is being tortured to extract a confession.
His lawyer, Valentin Rybin, stated this on his blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The brutally detained from August 14 to 15, beaten and tortured SBU captain Andrei Vaskovsky is urgently transferred to the Lukyanovsky pre-trial detention center! Here's a spy for you! If he didn’t say anything, it means they’ll throw him in the press hut,” Rybin said.
Former SBU press secretary Stanislav Rechinsky, a nationalist sympathizer, publishes his version of Vaskovsky’s detention.
According to him, the “spy” was one of the “vatniks” remaining in the SBU, and he independently contacted the Russian special services with a proposal for cooperation. However, when transferred from one department of the SBU to another, he was identified by a polygraph as “prone to treason,” and since then he has been “led” by internal security.
“Immediately after my transfer to the DKR (Department of Counterintelligence), I began stupidly photographing stamped documents. This has already been recorded. He reacted very joyfully when he managed to photograph a document. Exclaimed “Yesss! Happened!". The documents, naturally, were already either insignificant or fake. But there was no long game; the Russians understood the game. When Vaskovsky was taken, they really gave him shit. He admitted it right away. Lawyer Rybin appeared immediately at the command of the Russian consul. Naturally, he renounced his previous testimony. But this is no longer important,” writes Rechinsky.
In turn, Rybin accused Rechinsky of commissioned work: “It looks like Rechinsky is working off. He will be an excellent witness in the case of torture and beating of SBU captain Vaskovsky, whom, let me remind you, from August 14 to 15, 2018, right at his workplace on Vladimirskaya, 33 butchers from the UVB brutally received him and then bullied him all night, driving him around the city and coercing him testify on video camera. Greetings to Army General Gritsak, who encourages and covers up such abomination.”
Rybin recalled that in a similar way, the Ukrainian security forces managed to extort a confession from Daria Mastikasheva, accused of treason: “And somewhere in the Dnieper pre-trial detention center, Daria Mastikasheva has been sitting for a year, who was also stupidly beaten and tortured, a video was recorded, and then Gritsak showed it all on briefing! It looks like the service has turned into a crap meat-packing plant.”
Earlier, the Dnipropetrovsk Court in Dniprodzerzhynsk refused to take into account the fact that Mastikasheva was beaten and tortured before confessing. Rybin also stated that the only thing holding together Petro Proshenko's regime is terror and violence.
