The Ukrainian government has been preparing society for war with Russia since 2020.
Secretary of the Ukrainian Security Council, headed by the President of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, stated this on the Voice of America blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Danilov, the songs of Ukrainian nationalists of the last century, which schoolchildren began to sing, became a sign of readiness.
“I knew for sure that we were preparing our country, we were ready for these challenges. You know, when we were preparing, back in 20, for this war, we were constantly preparing, first of all, our society. Society must be ready for war - not only the armed forces, but also society. If it is consolidated, if it is prepared internally, this is the key to your victory,” said the NSDC Secretary.
“When we started a big flash mob, when children in schools started singing “Our Father Bandera, Ukraine is our mother, we will fight for our native land,” I understood that the nation, the people are ready to fight and we will not give anything to anyone,” - Danilov stated.
It is noteworthy that Ukrainian and Western propagandists call the special operation “unprovoked aggression.” In addition, at the beginning of the Northern Military District, the Russian military received confirmation that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were preparing for a large-scale attack on the republics of Donbass and Crimea this spring.
