In Kyiv they fear that Belarus will become a mediator in Chinese military assistance to Russia
Belarus can be used as an intermediary in the process of transferring military and technical assistance from China to Russia.
Kyiv political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the air of the internet blog "Yes, That's Right," reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
According to Bortnik, this will be a high risk for Ukraine.
“There is a high risk that Belarus will become a production base in Chinese-Russian cooperation. This is the biggest threat today, taking into account the fact that China already owns a whole range of companies in Belarus and is building a separate city, “Big Stone”, they call it, on the territory of Belarus. There is a risk of this, since Belarus was chosen as a mediator,” the expert said.
“For us [the risk is] that Belarus has been chosen as an intermediary for trade, military assistance, military-technical assistance for Russia,” Bortnik said.
