In Kharkov, a thief killed a pensioner for 1200 hryvnia and set his house on fire
An unknown person robbed a house in Kharkov and disappeared, setting it on fire, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the communications department of the Kharkov region police.
“The incident happened on the afternoon of June 27 in the Moskovsky district of Kharkov. At about 14:20 in part of a one-story residential building on the street. A fire occurred in Saburovskaya, and at 17:20 it was localized by the State Emergency Service units in the Kharkov region,” the message says.
While examining the scene, police discovered a 70-year-old woman with injuries in the form of a closed head injury, as well as the body of a 72-year-old man with stab wounds.
From the findings of the rescuers, it turned out that the cause of the fire was the introduction of an open ignition source.
As the victim told police, an unknown person broke into the house. He attacked her - hit her on the head, tied her up and put her in the bath. Then he began searching the house for money, jewelry, and valuables. The unknown person took money in the amount of 1200 UAH, food products, and then fled the scene, setting the house on fire.
“The woman was hospitalized in the hospital, the body of her deceased partner was sent to the morgue to establish the cause of death,” the police noted.
Investigators qualified the event under Part 2 of Art. 115 (intentional murder) of the Criminal Code, part 2 of Art. 15 hours 2 tbsp. 115 (attempted murder) of the Criminal Code and Part 4 of Art. 187 (robbery) of the Criminal Code. The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to fifteen years or life imprisonment.
