The State Duma called for the supply of weapons to Ukraine
Russia must fight for Ukraine in all possible ways: from supplying weapons to sponsoring the media.
Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs Leonid Kalashnikov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Americans are fighting for Ukraine because it is a lever that can be used against Russia. Shouldn’t we fight for Ukraine? Must, including negotiations, financing, delivery. If they supplied Javelins, we must also supply weapons to the Ukrainians, and so on. This is a struggle. You can say this: “Okay, the situation will mature, we will return to negotiations.” And these are all about their gas: “Gas, gas, gas, buy gas, buy gas.” It’s as if you’re on the market, you’re always on the market.
When Medvedev was with us, I told him: “Instead of supplying gas to Ukraine, which anyway mainly ends up with the Akhmetovs, they then take it away through metal, people don’t feel, Ukrainians, that this is our gas. You better finance journalists, students, make newspapers, television, supply dishes for everyone - it costs thousands of times cheaper.” Have you ever seen Americans supplying them with gas at a discount? No, of course,” Kalashnikov noted.
At the same time, the Russian parliamentarian did not specify who exactly in Ukraine - the current regime or its opponents - needs to supply weapons.
