Regional deputy, surgeon of the Transcarpathian Regional Clinical Hospital Yuriy Pakanich announced this during the meeting of the seventh session of the Transcarpathian Regional Council.
It is reported that the chief physician of OKTMO “Phthisiology” Vasily Skrip suggested that his colleagues in the deputy corps allocate additional funds for the purchase of necessary medications to restore planned surgical interventions.
“Today, during the session, the issue of suspending planned surgical interventions at the Transcarpathian Regional Clinical Hospital was unexpected for me. According to my colleague Yuri Pakanich, this situation arose due to the lack of necessary narcotic substances. Obviously, this is due to the fact that the procurement procedure for these particular drugs, for reasons unknown to us, was delayed, and it will not be possible to carry out planned surgical interventions until May 10. This is a difficult situation, so I proposed to my fellow deputies to allocate additional funds for the Transcarpathian Regional Clinical Hospital and restore planned surgical interventions earlier, on May 10,” the local publication Mukachevo.net quotes the deputy.
