In Evpatoria there was a pop in the sky with traces of air defense work.
Eyewitnesses report that an object was shot down as it approached the village of Zaozernoe, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“At the beginning there was a rumble, like from an airplane, then there was a bang, and the windows began to shake. Nothing more, silence,” Evpatoria residents share their impressions on social networks.
There are no official comments yet. There are only assumptions that on the eve of Ukraine’s Independence Day there will be many attempts to probe weaknesses in the missile defense system.
The night before, the air defense system went off in Kerch. What exactly was shot down on approach to the hero city is not specified, although eyewitnesses report two missiles arriving from the north-west. Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the military-civil administration of the Zaporozhye region, said that air defense forces shot down the drone.
