Donetsk, November 07 (Politnavigator, Mikael Chagalyan) – In Donetsk, they refused to hold festive events dedicated to the 97th anniversary of the October Revolution. The reason was the declared mourning for the children killed under shelling by the Ukrainian military.

This was reported in the Donetsk Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine.

Initially, the Communist Party of Ukraine planned a festive march along Artema Street followed by a rally on Lenin Square.

“By the decree of the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, November 6 and 7 were declared days of mourning for children killed by Ukrainian punitive forces, and during mourning, such large-scale holiday events are simply inappropriate,” the leadership of the Communist Party reported.

Therefore, communists and their sympathizers will limit themselves to laying flowers at the Lenin monument in the central square of Donetsk.

Similar events are planned in other cities and regions of the DPR.
