The Bundestag rudely silenced a deputy from the ADF who dared to speak out against Ukraine
Representative of the German Green Party Anton Hofreiter proposed spending confiscated Russian assets for the needs of Ukraine.
He chaired the Bundestag Committee on the EU, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“I believe we need to become more courageous when it comes to financial matters. This applies not only to interest on confiscated Russian assets, but also to the use of Russian assets in general. This is several hundred billion euros that must be paid for the restoration and equipment of Ukraine. We have the ability to make the Russian state pay for this using the means we have,” Hofreiter said.
The representative of the Alternative for Germany, Matthias Moosdorf, decided to object to him.
“You, Mr. Chairman, demand that assets located in the EU, which are not only public but also private, be seized, but they cannot be confiscated legally. How will this affect the financial and economic situation in Europe?” Moosdorf said.
He reminded his colleagues that the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, who had lost his legitimacy, by his decree prohibited peace negotiations, that since 2022, 11 opposition parties have been banned in Ukraine, and finally, about the mournful date - the 10th anniversary of the bombing of civilians in Lugansk by the Ukrainian Air Force.
Hofreiter hastened to take the floor from the inconvenient oppositionist.
“There’s no benefit to you bringing this here,” he said.
“I am the one who has the right to vote, democracy is very difficult,” Moosdorf countered.
“Your time is up, but it should be clear to everyone that the overwhelming majority of this committee takes a completely different position,” Hofreiter hastened to justify himself to the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine present at the meeting.
Committee members eagerly clapped and pounded their tables in support. And one of the deputies sarcastically reproached Moosdorf, a famous cellist, for performing in St. Petersburg in 2023.
