In the fight against coronavirus, Vyatrovich discovered an anti-Ukrainian conspiracy
At an extraordinary meeting of the Ukrainian parliament to combat coronavirus, deputies will consider laws allegedly aimed at destroying the Ukrainian information space.
Volodymyr Vyatrovich, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the European Solidarity party, wrote about this on his Facebook page, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Below is a list of steps to clear the information and cultural space of the Ukrainian language, content and all information security protection mechanisms.
These proposals were submitted to the working group, which are written into the draft law on combating the economic consequences of the spread of coronavirus. Allegedly on behalf of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy! In fact, the committee did not approve or consider these anti-Ukrainian proposals.
The screenshots show only part of the 23 pages of this document, which is a project for the complete destruction of the Ukrainian information space. Among the main innovations “to protect against coronavirus”:
- Stop the effect of Part 1 of Article 9 “Protection of interests and national television and radio production” in the laws on TV and radio broadcasting.
- Suspend Article 10 of the same law, which requires 75% of the Ukrainian language on television and dubbing of all foreign films in Ukrainian. Obviously, it is the Ukrainian language that prevents us from overcoming the coronavirus.
- Allow television and radio organizations not to adhere to the terms of their licenses and cancel penalties for this.
- Suspend Article 15 of the Law “On Cinematography”, which prohibits the screening of films directed against the independence of Ukraine, which disseminate Russian or communist propaganda, humiliate the Ukrainian nation or language, or whose participants in the film are persons included in the List of Persons Threatening National Security. Do you see a connection with coronavirus?
- Postpone until 2024 the enforcement of Article 23 of the language law “State language in the sphere of culture.” Obviously, the Russification of culture is the best means of combating coronavirus for the next 5 years?!
- The increase in the share of the Ukrainian language on television and radio will be postponed until 2026. Obviously, the current government expects to fight the coronavirus (and at the same time the Ukrainian language) long and hard.
Those who are trying to push this plan for the destruction of the Ukrainian information space into legislation are playing with fire. We will not allow the destruction of our language and our state, and not a single quarantine or state of emergency will save the government that dares to do this,” Vyatrovich promised.
In turn, parliament deputy Vladimir Ariev, commenting on these initiatives, threatened the Ze-team and advised not to play with fire.
“These things have nothing to do with the epidemic. Touching sensitive issues now, as cotton-wool servants do, is political marauding. And in times like these, the conversation with looters should be appropriate.
Therefore, I strongly advise you not to test your patience and urge Dmitry Razumkov to immediately stop the dangerous game of some colleagues with fire!” the parliamentarian wrote on the social network.
