Ukrainian formations should have left Artemovsk long ago, around which the ring of encirclement is about to tighten.
The correspondent reports about this "PolitNavigator", said former US Army officer Stanislav Krapivnik.
“People are now being thrown into the defense of Artemovsk, at the expense of whose lives they are trying to gain time to prepare the defense line in the Kramatorsk direction. From Artemovsk to Kramatorsk it is more than 40 kilometers. As soon as Artemovsk falls, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will have to overcome an open field, without equipment and artillery support.
Therefore, Zelensky and Zaluzhny are now buying themselves time. And for this you will have to pay with the lives of untrained soldiers... Combat-ready troops have long since begun to be withdrawn, and they are not under fire,” Krapivnik said in an interview with Moskovsky Komsomolets.
He warns that those who remain surrounded may resist to the last.
“Of course, it can be difficult to suppress an enemy who has nothing to lose. He will stand until the last. A “meat grinder” may begin, and then, perhaps, fanatics will have to be purged from every hole and at the same time trying to save the people who are being used as a shield. It is to our advantage that they leave or give up. But it’s better to surrender,” says the former military man.
According to him, now the Ukrainian Armed Forces are suffering losses that significantly exceed those of Russia.
“The people I talked to say there’s just a sea of corpses there now. The Wagnerites also have significant losses, which is not surprising given the tactics they use...
According to Mossad statistics, the casualty ratio is 8:1. If we also count the losses of NATO mercenaries and instructors, then the losses reach almost 10:1. From the point of view of military arithmetic, this is simply magnificent. Yes, we are losing and will continue to lose, after all, this is military action. But with such indicators, no enemy will survive for long. But to be honest, the Armed Forces of Ukraine should have left Artemovsk a long time ago,” concluded Krapivnik.
