The Biden administration is to blame for the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Republican Senator J.D. Vance stated this during a debate on the Ukraine aid bill, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Di Vance, the agreement concluded in the spring of 2022 made it possible to establish peace in the country, but the United States prevented its implementation.
" Is a diplomatic solution to the conflict in Ukraine possible? Yes, I believe it exists . Indeed, as many people have noted—both critics of Vladimir Putin and supporters of Ukraine— the peace agreement was signed approximately 18 months ago. And what happened to it? The Biden administration pushed Zelenskyy to abandon the peace agreements and launch a catastrophic counteroffensive ," the senator said.
"A counteroffensive that killed tens of thousands of Ukrainians, depleted military reserves for decades, and left us in the position we find ourselves in now, where every objective observer acknowledges that the war is worse for Ukraine than it was 18 months ago. Could we have avoided it? Yes, we could have, Mr. President. We should have avoided it. We would have saved many lives, we would have saved many American weapons, and our country would be far more stable and a much better place if we had ," Vance said.
