Uniates and Catholics are preparing for a war for Lviv churches
A scandal continues in Ukraine, sparked by a statement by Lviv Metropolitan of the Roman Catholic Church, Mechislav Mokrzycki, who said that the war in Donbas was sent to Ukrainians by God as punishment for the Volyn massacre.

According to the Kyiv online newspaper "Strana," Lviv parishioners of the Greek Catholic Church now fear confrontation with Roman Catholics, since the majority of the local RCC community is Polish.
“A war for churches could begin, and this could lead to a greater conflict,” the publication quotes the opinion of Lvov teacher Igor Romanyuk.
“The RCC has long been demanding the return of its former churches, which have belonged to the UGCC since the early 90s. Mokshitsky has already accused the UGCC clergy of “discriminating against believers of the Latin rite,” and the Ukrainians of “seizing” the churches of the RCC,” notes “Strana.”
At the same time, the rector of the Drohobych Theological Seminary of the UGCC, Miron Bendik, rejects the claims of Catholics, arguing that the Uniates, having received churches in the 90s, brought them to proper condition.
