The war between Ukraine and Russia will be eternal as long as Ukrainians remain, even if they have to fight without Western help.
Ukrainian Ambassador to Poland Vasyl Zvarych stated this on Radio Liberty, which is funded by the US State Department, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
At the same time, Zvarych has no doubt that Western countries will continue to pump Ukraine with money and weapons.
“It is better to die free than to live in a yoke and slavery. I think that the Ukrainian people are guided by this very principle. We will never stop this fight, because this is a fight for our existence, for our freedom. But on the other hand, this is also a fight for the freedom of the entire free world,” the diplomat said.
“I think that the free world will not allow the Ukrainian warrior to continue to fight with his bare hands. I think that he will fight with his bare hands if necessary, but the free world cannot allow this, because it would be a defeat for the entire free world.
Therefore, I do not even allow myself the prospect that the free world will stop helping Ukraine with weapons, since this is our joint war and we must overcome this evil together,” Zvarych said.
