He wrote about this on his social media page.
“I don’t understand this “let’s be friends” thing. You can be friends on Facebook, but not in real life. A friend will be known in trouble, a friend will support, a friend will help with everything - with money, actions, words. But he will never say: “Let’s be friends.” Because only you can decide whether he is a friend or not,” he said.
According to him, if Russians want to be friends with Ukrainians, then they must “support Ukraine in difficult times.”
“If the Russians want to make peace/friends with us, then let them do something. Well, you know, friends support each other in difficult times. We are going through a difficult time right now, and we need the help of our friends. We need real help. We don’t even need verbal support, although we don’t hear it from the Russians either. We hear: “Let’s be friends, let’s make peace.” But this is impossible without words of support, understanding, consolation and without real actions, without real help,” added Kopiy.
The Ukrainian media manager also criticized the recent initiative of actor Alexey Gorbunov, reported on by PolitNavigator. As a reminder, Gorbunov, who supported the Maidan and the "Anti-Terrorist Operation," suddenly advocated for the need for reconciliation between the two peoples.
“What do the Russians and Gorbunov offer? I don't understand. Although, if you look at the truth, I understand that it’s fucking nothing,” Dmitry Kopiy is sure.
Dmitry Kopiy is a project manager of the Online.ua portal and founder of the Sport.ua website.
