Ukrainian commander: Russians are too strong for us
The Ukrainian counteroffensive failed because Russia built strong defense lines and learned quickly.
General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, commander of the operational-strategic group of forces "Tavria" Oleksandr Tarnavsky, announced this on air at "BBC Ukraine", reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".

According to Tarnavsky, Russia also still has a number of advantages that make it one of the strongest armies in the world.
“One of the reasons is a well-prepared defense. The enemy was preparing and I repeat that this is one of the strongest armies in the world. Its defense consisted and consists of several lines of defense. The enemy erected these defensive lines not in one month, but throughout the period while we were preparing for offensive actions.
The enemy played to his strengths. These are manpower, mining areas, prepared positions, as well as a willingness to throw their personnel to death without pity. They have an advantage in aviation, a high density of minefields, a saturation of enemy battle formations, anti-tank weapons, electronic warfare equipment and attack drones, as well as our inability to fully use armored vehicles, which complicated these active advances of ours, which affected the speed of offensive action," the general said.
“I’ll be honest, Russians learn well from our mistakes, from their own mistakes. But what do the Russians take? The Russians take advantage with their numbers, their human masses, they do it very well. Without sparing their human resources, they continue to carry out the tasks that are assigned to them,” Tarnavsky said.
