Ukrainian expert: American rangers will not fly to fight for us in Donbass, we need to rely on ourselves

UNIAN columnist and political expert Evgeniy Magda stated this on Channel 5.
“We need to rely on ourselves. American Rangers will not arrive here in sufficient numbers to fight in the East. We do not have internationally binding agreements with either the United States or other NATO countries that we will be provided with military-technical assistance. Even if the United States supplies us with lethal weapons... it will be exclusively defensive weapons. There is no point in counting on the supply of offensive weapons at all,” he said.
“We need to abandon the image of the biggest European problem, because pragmatists have now come to power in the United States. And they will look at it pragmatically. We need to convince that we are a platform for opportunities, not problems,” says the Ukrainian expert.
“We must admit that Trump personally will not deal with Ukraine. This is a historical fact. It will be good for us if we are dealt with by Michael Pence, also a man with a reputation as a hawk on Russia. But again, the Republicans are famous for their tougher policies on foreign affairs, that is, they will pose the question more harshly and demand an answer more harshly,” he added.
