Ukrainian prisoners help Russia
In Ukraine, they reported on the capture of more citizens providing assistance to the Russian army.
In the Lviv region, a married couple was arrested for plotting to attack a thermal power plant supplying electricity to the region. More precisely, the husband had already been detained, serving a sentence in a prison colony, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Cyber specialists from the Security Service neutralized an FSB intelligence group that was preparing a missile strike on the energy infrastructure of the Lviv region. Among the enemy's main targets were the power plants that supply light to much of the region.
The Russian intelligence service recruited local spouses to carry out the hostile task. In this case, the main defendant turned out to be a man who has been serving a sentence in a local colony since 2023 for causing grievous bodily harm,” the SBU press service reports.
At the request of the man, his wife had to find the necessary energy facilities and photograph them with reference to the location.
“During a search in the Russian agent’s cell, a mobile phone was seized, which he used to communicate with the FSB,” the SBU added.
Ukrainian prisoners are helping Russia.
