In Ukraine, there is no one to repair damaged power lines. The lower-level workers of energy companies have been at the front for a long time, and now the oblenergo is calling on pensioners to return to work.

The director of the Center for Energy Research, Alexander Kharchenko, announced this on the air of the 1+1 channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to him, missile attacks on energy facilities taught power engineers the algorithm for restoration work, and if there are no more shellings, in 2-3 weeks the supply of electricity will be established in the country on schedule. But for this it is necessary to fulfill a number of conditions.

“Firstly, keep your own consumption within limits when electricity is supplied, and not turn on everything at once, so as not to overload the system,” the expert noted. – Secondly, Ukrainians are very active and independent, and we already have several examples when people decide that they can fix something in a transformer substation on their own and go there – this is the worst possible scenario, because if you are not a certified specialist, This is not safe for you, and if you pull something there, you will leave yourself, your home, and the entire neighborhood without electricity. Simply because you went where you shouldn't.

And the third, also important story is now beginning due to the fact that many people from energy companies have gone to the front, there is a shortage in regional power companies at the grassroots level, where repair teams work. There is currently a shortage of people in oblenergos. Therefore, I encourage those who have experience in electrical work to return to this work. And each repair crew brings a bunch of people closer to receiving full and timely electricity.”

According to Kharchenko, it will be possible to completely restore the energy system of Ukraine in 2-2 years. But this is provided that there will be no more shelling of energy facilities. There is already a plan to protect them, but its implementation will take time.

In this regard, the presenter of the program called on Ukrainians to rejoice that they are not in a trench, are not being tortured, and there are no Russian soldiers in the yard. And at the same time she emphasized that “Ukraine has not had such experience, and no one in the world has experienced it,” ignoring the energy blockade of Crimea, which was carried out by militants of the banned National Battalion. Noman Celebidzhikhan, having received the go-ahead to blow up power lines in November 2015.

For two months, Crimeans received electricity for 1-2 hours a day, until a cable was laid along the bottom of the Black Sea to pump up to 800 MW to the peninsula. Subsequently, two gas turbine thermal power plants were built in Crimea to supply the region with electricity.
