Ukrainians boast: Boats approached the Crimean Bridge unnoticed by the Russians
Artillery boats of the Ukrainian Navy, which recently met the Ukrainian headquarters ship and tugboat in the Sea of Azov, passing through the Kerch Strait, must approach the Crimean Bridge unnoticed by Russia.
This was stated by the commander of the Kremenchug boat, Alexander Regula, formerly one of the cadets of the Nakhimov School in Sevastopol, who refused to take the Russian oath in 2014 and played the anthem “Not yet dead” on camera.

“We approached completely unnoticed. Later they saw us and gave us coordinates, but we, of course, did not answer them. We walked in “radio silence” mode. At first they thought that these were their own border guard ships. Then we got “lost” again and appeared in the wrong place. They noticed us only when we were already walking near Donbass. I cut this minesweeper off from him there. When they were already at “Donbass” and took up positions for convoying, then they just started asking: “Who are they? Where did they even come from?” Well, they didn't see where we came from. We had the advantage that it was dark, and we were visually inconspicuous. On the radar too. My friend and I (the boat “Lubny” - ed.) always go to sea as a couple. We checked - we retreat a mile or two, and that’s it - only one sea is visible,” Regula said in an interview with the Ukrinform agency.
He explained that stealth is achieved due to the “special geometry” of the boats. “Hull contours and painting of the boat. On the radar it shows such a small flare. Maybe there's a problem? Who knows? Capturing it in a normal way is unrealistic,” assures the Ukrainian captain.
“When I approached at night from the direction of one minesweeper, they sounded the combat alarm. Because they saw me when I was already nearby. They began to frantically run around the deck, thinking about what to do - but I was already near them,” Regula boasts.
