Valeria Gontareva will be replaced in the chair of the head of the NBU by the Chairman of the Board of Raiffeisen Bank Aval, Vladimir Lavrenchuk.

Economist Vladimir Verbyany , a contributor to the American business publication Bloomberg, wrote about this on his Facebook page.
As the publication writes, the new head of the regulator must make efforts to continue the financial sector reforms laid down by his predecessor and fulfill the obligations undertaken to the IMF.
The new head of the NBU should take office after May 10.
At the same time, Raifanzen Bank Aval has so far refused to confirm or refute this information.
“We are waiting for an official decision,” said Natalya Marchenko, the bank’s communications director.
